Sand for residents of Andover, for residential use, will be available at the Transfer Station during open hours on Wednesdays and Saturdays from  7 AM to 5 PM.

This location is safer than the Andover Highway Department’s yard during a storm, when trucks and equipment are loading sand.  Prior to the acquisition of the current Highway Department property, sand was always available at the Transfer Station.

Just as the Transfer Station is gated and the Town Offices are locked, the Highway Department is gated. This is done to protect Town-owned property, equipment, and tools when not in operation. 

Residents are asked to take no more than two five-gallon pails per day.
