The Hub Continues to Organize Virtual Programs and Events

Some services available on site by appointment

By Susan Chase

While the Andover Community Hub building is mostly closed due to the pandemic, the Hub has continued to organize occasional virtual programs and events and to offer a few individual services by appointment such as the monthly VNA Senior Health Clinic, the “Mobility on the Go” program to lend walkers, crutches, etc. to residents on a short-term basis, and the upcoming AARP income-tax preparation help.

The Hub has also continued to offer several ongoing exercise classes to the community via Zoom.  On Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at 9 AM, there is an ongoing strength and balance class led by trained volunteers, intended primarily for men and women 55 and older, offered free to anyone who would like to join.

In addition, a gentle yoga class  continues weekly at 8:30 AM on Thursdays, for those new to yoga or with prior yoga experience. This class is taught by Maris Wofsy of Salisbury, and the fee is $10 per class.  For more information about any of the above, or to be added to the Hub’s ongoing email list for information about upcoming programs and services, contact TheAndoverHub@nullgmail.com or 735-5509.
