With the pace of life becoming more and more hectic, not to mention the stresses in everyone’s lives associated with the pandemic, learning to relax and to meditate is an important skill to develop.

A Sound Meditation class will begin on Monday, October 4, from 6:30 to 7:30 PM, and will continue every other Monday at the Andover Community Hub. Participants will learn simple techniques to relax the body and calm the mind.

According to Shelby Nagy, the trained meditation teacher and Andover resident who will lead the sessions, “Participants can look forward to starting the week off feeling grounded, clear-headed and peaceful, while learning to relax to the sounds of singing bowls and other instruments.”

Participants are asked to bring a yoga mat, blanket, pillow, water bottle, and journal. Those who are comfortable borrowing mats, blankets, or bolsters from the Hub’s supply are welcome to do so.

The fee per session is $15 which can be paid at class using cash or Venmo. For further information and to register, contact TheAndoverHub@nullgmail.com.
