Play Based Learning

Day to day activity

By Stephanie D’Amour

Happy New Year from EAVP! As we embrace the winter months ahead, we wanted to take this opportunity to let you in on our day to day. As teachers, we often get the question, “what do you do all day?” My favorite answer is always PLAY! We believe that play is the best way to learn and grow at preschool. Play-based learning is often referred to as guided play, for good reason. Teachers observe children in their play to intentionally plan the environment, materials, and activities set out to engage children in a developmentally appropriate way. Through play, children are making sense of the world. They are working on all areas of development: social/emotional, language, cognitive, physical, and creative expression. In 2018, New Hampshire actually amended its education law which is structured upon a play-based model.
We look forward to what the rest of the year brings as we learn through play.

Our Cash Calendar fundraiser is underway! There’s still time to purchase one. They are $10 each. This fundraiser has replaced our spaghetti dinner fundraiser this year.
EAVP continues to have full enrollment, but if you are interested in being added to our waitlist or enrolling a child for next year, please email eavp@nulltds.net.
