Hub Survey Results Indicate High Interest in its Activities

Results of the recent “The Andover Hub needs YOU!” survey of local residents are in, and they will be helpful in planning The Andover Community Hub’s future. Invitation to participate was accepted by 98 area residents, many of whom have been participants in Hub activities since its doors opened as a community center in 2017.

The results offer closer looks at which of The Hub’s many current offerings are well received by our community. These include Garden Club events. art classes and exhibits, live music (performed at the East Andover Grange Hall), speakers on a variety of subjects, and health-related workshops.

The survey also reveals “programming you’d like to see more of,” including:
•        More current Special Guest lectures/events
•        Children’s programs and late afternoon/evening classes
•        Health/family-oriented services
•        Food-oriented events
•        Local history & folklore
•        Bike repair/tune-up lessons
•        Area musician performances
•        Musician jam sessions
•        Running/cycling group
•        Authors coming to speak
•        Nature presentations
•        Arts/painting/pottery
•        Yoga/fitness classes
•        Meditation
•        Rug hooking group
•        Town poultry show
•        Craft/sewing/fiber classes
•        Movies
•        Alcoholics Anonymous meeting
•        Overeaters Anonymous meeting

Commenting on the survey results, Hub chair Larry Chase said: “We’re delighted to see that many of the programs and events are well received, and also that there’s much agreement about what additional activities might be offered.
