Reverend Cinnamon to Perform at Andover Coffeehouse

Now streaming services on FB live

By Donna Thompson & Rev. Bill Blomquist

Everyone at Andover Community Church hopes you had a wonderful and blessed Easter. Now it is time to get ready for the spring!

Holy Week and Easter: we had deeply rich celebrations of the last week of Jesus’ life. Palm Sunday was loud and boisterous, Good Friday’s service portrayed a dramatic replay of the crucifixion of Christ with drama, readings, and music, and Easter Sunrise at the top of Taunton Hill was really special.

We did something different and invited everyone to bring bells, which rang through the early morning hours, along with the proclamation, “Hallelujah! Christ has Risen!” Then we gathered at the Grange Hall for a wonderful potluck breakfast and headed into a resurrection service filled with music and joy.

The flowering of the cross was a touching moment. Children and parents were invited to take a flower and place it on the barren cross and it became transformed. After the service, the cross was placed outside for everyone to enjoy as they drove past the church.

Online Presence: in case some of you haven’t heard, we are now streaming our Sunday services live on Facebook, on the Andover Community Church Facebook page. If there’s a particular service you would like to hear again (or listen to the wonderful music team) it’s there for the clicking. Our services have a variety of preachers, from Father Bill, Rev. Cinnamon, Deacon Kathy, and  Deacon Nancy. One never knows. There may be a sermon waiting just for you.

Grief Share and Beyond: another GriefShare program will be starting up Monday, April 22, and run through June 17, 6:30–8:30 PM, at The Andover Community Hub. This program is for anyone who has lost a spouse, soul mate, parent(s), sibling, or a friend. Everyone is welcomed. If there are any questions, please call the church office or leave a note on the Contact page of the church website.

The Rummage/Bake/Pre-made meals: these will be starting up on Saturday, May 25. We are looking forward to seeing everyone again. As always, if there are any questions, feel free to call Donna:  text or message at 603 393-5470.

The Andover Coffeehouse: it continues to meet on the third Friday of the month. This month a special jazz combo, “Jazzperations,” will be headlining the event. This is an upbeat show led by flutist Cinnamon Blomquist and jazzy friends.

Come out and hear some of the local talent, too!  Food, such as, hot dishes, hot dogs, grinders, wraps, and baked goods are available for sale, with all proceeds going toward fixing up the Grange Hall.

Anyone interested in holding an event at the Grange Hall or Church, contact us. We’d be happy to help you out! Email us at andoverchurch@nulltds.net, or through the church’s web page at andovercommunitynh.org. Have a wonderful season of spring!
