Award-winning show to be performed in Newport on April 27 and 28

 Newport, NH: Mount Royal Academy’s Knights Theater, in partnership with the Newport Opera
House Association, will be performing the Tony Award and Pulitzer Prize winning show, The Diary of Anne Frank by Goodrich and Hackett, adaptation by Wendy Kesselman, on Saturday, April 27, at 7 PM and Sunday, April28 at 2 PM. Doors will open 30 minutes prior to the start of the show, and tickets can be purchased on the Newport Opera House Association website:

Twenty junior high and high school students from Mount Royal Academy in Sunapee, NH, under the direction of Annie Hamilton, have been working hard to produce this moving and very human story of fear, hope, despair, and trust in humanity as the Frank family and friends hide from the Nazis in the heart of Amsterdam. The timely witness of the “Annex family” to endurance and the struggle to forgive is sure to touch the hearts of all audience members!
Parental discretion advised for children 10 and under.

About Knights Theater in partnership with The Newport Opera House Association: Mount Royal Academy’s Knights Theater program is a young but vibrant theater troupe that has put on several successful shows at the Newport Opera House including: The Man who Came to Dinner, The Chronicles of Narnia, and A Christmas Carol. Most shows include a cast and crew of about 50 students ranging in age from 7-18. These talented youths are so grateful to have both a beautiful venue which highlights their hard work and the support of the wonderfully experienced NOHA staff.
