Cotton candy on the Fourth

By Rev. Bill Blomquist, Rector

It is hard to believe we are already halfway through the year. I just love looking out the window or walking to enjoy all the beauty that Mother Nature has provided.

We will have two booths at the Andover Fourth of July celebration. One booth will be the cotton candy booth where you can buy that delicious treat. At the other booth, we will have a few games for children to win prizes. There are so many great prizes this year.

We will also have a prayer team available for anyone who would like to receive prayer. The money raised from the cotton candy sales will go to the building of wells in Africa. Imagine carrying containers of water miles away from your home. We will be helping a village or a home without running water finally have water of their own.

The rummage, bake, and pre-made meal sales are on the last Saturday of the month. It has been so much fun reconnecting with returning patrons. If you haven’t checked us out, please do.

We open the doors at 9 AM and close at 1 PM. We have new items every month, for you to find new treasures. The scrumptious and nutritious meals are different every month. These sales will go through the end of October. Contact Donna with any questions (see below).

Sad to say that the Andover Coffeehouse is taking a two-month break. It has been such a great year hearing the variety of talented musicians. We will start back up in September.

We can’t wait to see what the venue will bring to the stage. If you are interested in more information about the coffeehouse, check their Facebook page.

The mission we had for the Aspire Women’s Center ended on Father’s Day. As of this writing, the total has not been calculated yet. We are hoping to raise more funds than last year.

Our Sunday services start at 9:30, followed by prayer and fellowship. All are welcome to join us. We are also streaming live on Facebook with past Sunday services posted to view at your leisure.
