The polls are located at Andover Elementary/Middle School. They open in Andover at 8 AM and close at 7 PM. Please do not come early. Please don’t forget to bring a photo ID!
You will receive the Primary Ballot that corresponds with your party registration. To check your voter registration, go to The Secretary of State’s Voter Information website: app.sos.nh.gov/viphome, click on “View My Voter Information,” and follow the prompts.
This website will also allow you to look at sample ballots for the Primary. Go to app.sos.nh.gov/viphome, click on “Search Polling Places and Sample Ballots by Address,” and follow the prompts. Sample ballots are also posted at Town Hall and at both post offices in Andover.
If you are registered as “undeclared,” you will need to declare as a Democrat or as a Republican to receive the ballot of your choice. If you would like to have your voter registration return to “undeclared” after you have voted, be sure to check in with one of the Supervisors of the Checklist to change back to undeclared.
You may register to vote on Election Day. You register with one of the Supervisors of the Checklist. In order to register you need to bring proof of identity, age, citizenship, and residency with you. A driver’s license, passport, or other photo ID will work for ID and age.
Tax or utility bills addressed to you will show where you live. A birth certificate, passport, or naturalization papers will prove citizenship.
If it will be difficult for you to get from your car to the polling station, you may request curbside voting. Please pull your car up to the curb area near the central sidewalk to the school, and let the greeter know that you would like to vote curbside. You will be brought an absentee ballot application and an absentee ballot.
Please be an informed voter. Take the time to look at the sample ballots in The Beacon and do some research on the candidates.
