The Fourth of July annual raffle of the Friends of the Northern Rail Trail (FNRT) successfully awarded prizes donated by local businesses and raised money to support building more miles of trail – we’re now into Boscawen! This fall, led by project manager Chris Norris, the FNRT will add four more miles to the trail, going as far as Depot Street in the center of Boscawen.

Ted Bernhard of Essex, Massachusetts won the bicycle donated by S & W Sports of Concord, Fred Lance of Andover won two nights lodging donated by the Highland Lake Inn, and winners of the gift certificates were Matt Bickford of New London (Jake’s Market), Tom Voss of Andover (Blackwater Junction Restaurant), Kyra Boucher of Leominster, Massachusetts (Belletetes), and Jake Milano of Boylston, Massachusetts (Pizza Chef).

The FNRT thanks the community for their support in our fundraisers, and we hope to see you out enjoying the trail!
