All Center for the Arts events are free and open to the public. Join us for great art, light refreshments, and an opportunity to meet the artists.

Micro Gallery

The Micro Gallery at Country Houses will host Victoria Elbroch and Lawrence Elbroch. Lawrence is a self-taught photographer who has taken courses at the New Hampshire Institute of Are and multiple workshops taught by Sean Kernan. His award winning photography has been exhibited in multiple juried exhibitions. When asked, “What is good art?” Lawrence quotes his teacher. “Does it have vitality? Does it elicit emotional response? Is it alive? When I achieve this,” he says, “I have portrayed the essence of my subject.”

Victoria Elbroch was born in Cheshire, England and has lived in India and Pakistan. She came to the United States in 1973 and studied at Lock Haven Art Center in Orlando, Florida as well as at the University of Oklahoma. Victoria also spent three years working with a master printmaker. She draws ancient trees in the landscape, the tangle of their root systems, and their resilience to the elements. She seeks to draw the viewer into a dialog with her work. The drawings become etchings. Victoria works in various printmaking mediums, including aquatint and solar etching.
