Press release

Paul Barrere and Fred TackettGuitarists of the legendary band Little Feat, Paul Barrere and Fred Tackett, have joined forces as an acoustic duo that critics say blows audiences away. They will be performing songs from their Little Feat catalog and more at The Flying Monkey Performance Center on Saturday, March 22 at 7:30 PM. Tickets start at $29.

Paul Barrere and Fred Tackett can’t seem to get enough of each other. They first played together on the album Dixie Chicken some 25 years ago and since then have played together or individually on numerous recording sessions for Little Feat and countless others including Bonnie Raitt, Taj Mahal, Bob Dylan, Tom Waits, Dionne Farris, and the Wallflowers.

Little Feat is widely considered one of the pioneering jam bands of the ’60s and ’70s. Paul Barrere joined the band for their fourth album, Feats Don’t Fail Me Now, and soon became their lead guitarist and a key songwriter. Multi-instrumentalist Tackett joined the group in 1988 when they released Let It Roll. The Barrere and Tackett tour gives the two musicians a chance to perform the songs they co-wrote as acoustic numbers.

“It’s a lot of fun and a real departure from the power and the force that [occur] when Little Feat is playing,” Barrere said in a recent interview. “We can put a bluesier, folkier stamp on [the songs].”

Fans can expect a laid back evening of Little Feat hits and more, all with new artistic twists from Paul and Fred.

Tickets for Little Feat’s Paul Barerre and Fred Tackett are on sale now for $29, and $35 for Premier seats. For tickets and more information on concerts and the Flying Monkey Performance Center, visit FlyingMonkeyNH.com or call 536-2551.
