Bomb Threat Discovered at AE/MS

School evacuated safely; no bomb discovered

The Andover Police Department provided this press release about the incident:

On April 6 at approximately 1:30 PM, the Andover Police Department received a report of a bomb threat at the Andover Elementary/Middle School. A threat of a bomb inside the building had been discovered in the school by students, who reported the threat.

As a result of the threat, the students were evacuated from the school to a nearby safe and secure location. The school was then searched with the assistance of New Hampshire State Police and their Explosives unit. As of this point in the investigation, police have been able to develop a person of interest.

Other agencies that assisted are the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department, the Franklin Police Department, the Danbury Police Department, the Alexandria Police Department, and the Andover Fire Department.
