The Andover Public Libraries’ Fourth of July book sale was a great success, raising over $2,500 for our two libraries. Many thanks to Proctor Academy for lending us the Stone Chapel, to everyone who donated books throughout the year, and to the Boy Scouts for carrying them over.
Thanks also to our dedicated Library Directors, Priscilla Poulin and Gail Fitzpatrick, to the five Library Trustees, and to John Cotton for lending a hand. And a very warm, “Thank you!” to everyone who donated so generously.
The funds raised at this event support community programs such as author readings (we had Sy Montgomery last year), children’s activities, and the Summer Book Camp.
The two libraries are now accepting book donations for next year’s Fourth of July.
