This year’s raffle for the Friends of the Northern Rail Trail showed again how our local communities love the rail trail. The FNRT awarded prizes donated by local businesses and raised money to support trail work and to keep us walking, rolling, and snowmobiling on Andover’s 35 miles of trail.

At the drawing during the Old Time Fair in Potter Place on August 7, Gerry McFarland of Bradley Lake won the bicycle from S&W Sports of Concord, Michael Vercellotti of Andover won two nights lodging donated by the Highland Lake Inn. Winners of gift certificates were Nancy Billings of Andover (Eastern Mountain Sports), Linda Shoemaker of Bradley Lake (Belletete’s), Kait Armstrong of Andover (Goodale’s Bike Shop), Dane Loomer of Andover (Jake’s Market and Deli), Patty Pond of Salisbury (Flying Goose Brew Pub), and Gordon Terwilliger of New London (Pizza Chef).

The FNRT thanks our sponsors and our neighbors for their support, and we hope to see you out enjoying the trail.
