Thank you to the folks who attended the Public Hearing for the Noise Ordinance on Monday, January 16. Attendance was light, but useful, and thoughtful suggestions were made that tailor this updated version to Andover’s needs.

Please be sure to read the Ordinance in this February issue of the Beac0n as the changes made at the Public Hearing update the Ordinance from the Ordinance published in the December/January issue.

The Noise Ordinance that you will read was drafted with the help of a committee of community members and Chief Laramie. We looked to surrounding towns as models and put together a document that we think is practical and straight forward.

The Noise Ordinance will once again be on the Warrant at Town Meeting on March 14.
