Summer Music Associates is proud to present The Beacon Brass Quintet in an encore appearance in New London. The Quintet will perform at the First Baptist Church on Thursday, July 13 at 7:30 PM with their combination of trumpets, trombone, French horn and tuba.

The program will include a Fanfare by Dukas, three Bach selections, Sonate per Sonare #4 by Gabrieli, Suite for Brass Quintet by Edward Grieg, the Malcolm Arnold Brass Quintet #1, three songs by Debussy, a Renaissance Suite, and even a piece by Scott Joplin!

Dana Russian and Dana Oakes on trumpets, Kevin Oakes on French horn, Hans Bohn on the trombone, and Donald Rankin on tuba constitute “…one of the nation’s finest chamber ensembles.” The Beacon Brass Quintet was the first brass ensemble ever to win the prestigious Concert Artists Guild award.

Children’s and student’s tickets for all the Summer Music Associates concerts are only $5, and we hope many families will take advantage of this low price.
