February’s featured performer at the Andover Community Coffeehouse on Friday, February 16, will be folk solo artist Dana Robinson. The concert will be held in its usual space at the Highland Lake Grange Hall in East Andover, where music will begin at 7 PM. The Grange Hall doors will open at 6 for simple supper food and beverage purchases, for sound checks, and for open mic sign-ups on a first-come, first-served basis.
Hailing from Cabot, Vermont, Robinson is a multi-instrumentalist and singer-songwriter who combines an openhearted singing style with wry humor and astute observations about community and the American landscape, and a unique blend of contemporary songwriting with traditional influences. His most recent recording, “The Town That Music Saved,” features songs written in and around his hometown of Cabot and captures the essence of modern rural life. He and his wife Susan were featured at the Coffeehouse four years ago, but he’ll be solo this time.
Coffeehouse admission is free, although the hat will be passed to be shared with the featured performer, and generous donations are gratefully accepted. The sponsor for the evening is Byron’s Septic Services of Andover.
