Work on the Andover Highway Garage is ongoing and enjoyed great weather during the fall. Since our “Topping Out Ceremony” on November 20, all structural steel elements of the shell have been placed and the metal skin applied. The windows, doors, and flashing installations, as well, are all complete.

The roof is finished, and the building is insulated and weather-tight. The well was drilled and power/communication conduits were put underground. Temporary heat and electricity were established around the time of the December holidays, which will allow work to continue unabated through the winter’s cold.

The essential elements of the radiant heating system for the floor were laid down and the floor slab was poured in mid-January. Once the Diamond Hard sealer is cured, the next priority will be the interior rooms: office, break room, rest room, mechanical room, storage mezzanine and their necessary mechanical systems.

There remains sitework to do once the ground thaws: septic system installation, finish paving, landscaping/striping. Outfitting the work space will see the establishment of work benches, tool chests, office equipment, vehicle lift(s), a flag pole, and solar panels. An Open House is planned to welcome the public on or before the Fourth of July.
