ANDOVER — New Hampshire singer-songwriter Cosy Sheridan has been called one of the area’s finest and most thoughtful songwriters, and she’ll be returning to the Andover Community Coffeehouse on Friday, January 17, at 7 PM. The monthly Coffeehouse takes place at the Highland Lake Grange Hall in East Andover.
With Sheridan’s percussive, bluesy guitar style backed by the strong rhythms and harmonies of bass player Charlie Koch, her concerts are wide-ranging, entertaining, and always tuneful. She’s also a great entertainer, as The Cornell Folksong Society wrote: “Sheridan is frank, feisty, sublimely and devilishly funny.”
Music begins at 7 PM, although the doors open at 6 PM for food, sound checks, and up to five open mic sign-ups on a first-come, first-served basis. Admission is free, although the hat will be passed and generous donations are encouraged to be shared with the featured act.
