For the third straight year, photographer Jay Fitzpatrick of East Andover has earned two awards in Kearsarge Magazine’s annual photography contest.

His photograph of the waterfalls at the outflow of Pleasant Lake in Elkins won the judge’s award for “Places,” and an image of three bobhouses on Lake Sunapee won in the “Things” category.

Jay was one of seven photographers whose work was selected from 50 entries. The winning shots were published in the fall edition of the magazine, which is now available at select newsstands and area retail outlets.

“The greater Kearsarge area is a wonderful place for photo enthusiasts,” said Jay. “You have the mountain and hills, lakes and ponds, and scenic back roads. There are lots of possibilities.” He said he especially enjoys the upcoming fall season. “If you’re a photographer, there’s nothing like fall in New Hampshire.”

Jay will display his winning photos of the past three years at the Saturday, November 7, Photo Expo at the Highland Lake Grange Hall in East Andover. The event starts at 10 AM and is open to the public free of charge.
