The Franklin Animal Shelter (FAS) recently announced its first annual Lucky Paw Raffle fundraising event. With in-person participation at events still questionable because of the current COVID-19 situation, the shelter board of directors has decided to run a virtual 50/50 raffle as part of their autumn fundraising event activities.

The Lucky Paw Raffle is a 50/50 raffle, with no more than 400 tickets being sold. Tickets for the raffle are priced at $50 each. This means that if all tickets are sold, there will be a single ticket drawn that will be worth up to $10,000 to the winner. Note that with a jackpot that high, taxes will be withheld in accordance with IRS guidelines.

Tickets can be purchased at the shelter, from any board of directors member, or online at FranklinAnimalShelter.com/events. The drawing will be held on November 18 at the monthly board meeting and will be streamed live over Facebook. Details of the streaming will be posted on the shelter website and Facebook page prior to the drawing.
